Introducing Signal Vine's Voice of the Student®

Optimize your data for student insights

The Signal Vine platform can provide an incredible depth of insight. Just copyrighted, The Voice of the Student® (VOS) is an aggregated data catalog that sorts, categorizes, and segments student conversation threads and exchanges to identify how and where students need and want support and guidance throughout their journey from high school through alumni status. In turn, institutional leadership can determine where to best allocate resources for the greatest immediate impact.

The Voice of the Student® Impact

FOCUS ON DATA THAT MATTERS

Analyze data on what students need, want, and are planning in the moment while also identifying the students who have been too quiet.

IDENTIFY OPPORTUNITIES FOR CHANGE

Modify staffing hours, processes, and student support based on insights generated from students' comments and confusion.

IMPROVE THE STUDENT EXPERIENCE

Meet students needs and wants with timely and personalized support. Remove the guessing game of what changes will bring satisfaction.

MITIGATE LARGE CASELOAD NOISE

Differentiate between the students who need support and those who still have not completed activities and remain silent.

CREATE GOALS WITH ACCOUNTABILITY

Monitor month-over-month changes in student behavior and the resulting changes to staff workloads and processes.

LEVERAGE BLENDED MESSAGING®

Apply staff efforts to the complicated issues and leave redundant questions to automation for an improved response time and consistency.

A Voice of the Student® Data Sample

The Voice of Student® can be customized to the leader's preference - time, campaign, program, institution.

For example, across the month of April, the VOS analyzed more than 452k student messages from 572 institutions. The aggregated review of each of the schools’ use of texting to better understand the impact of texting provides insight into how students are responding and what they are sharing in generalized buckets. The responses are influenced by the expectation that the student has of the program, their relationship with the sender, and largely the framing of the offer to assist. Using qualitative coding methodology, we found the following intents across a sampling of messages.
